I wanted to be an Architect. I used to watch Bob Vila instead of cartoons and then a family friend showed me a book Art Deco, I was hooked. Still to this day I have architectural posters, models and books all over my place.
I’m currently working on my undergrad at the Telfer School of Management completing a Bachelors of Commerce specializing in Entrepreneurship. I have the good fortune to currently serving as the president of the Entrepreneurs’ Club and I am the undergrad representative to the school council.
For the purposes of answering this as truthfully as possible, wine is my favourite food. I grew up with both parents involved in the industry and I’ve never been able to escape it. Its closely followed by Smoked Duck Wings from Murray Street Kitchen.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
I cannot stand when people cannot make the time of day for you, I know we all lead busy lives but I that doesn’t mean I would ignore anyone who came to me with some.
On a Saturday evening, what would you most like to do?
If I’m not at an event or working on school, I like to relax with a nice bottle of wine, friends and good food. I can usually be found trying out new restaurants and places around Ottawa.
What role do you play in Abacus Data’s the Canadian Millennial research practice?
I’ve had a hand in trying out lots of things with Abacus’ Millennial research practice, from developing questions to analysing data. I will also moderate the odd focus group or interactive session.
What do you most like about your job at Abacus Data?
I like the verity of work I get to do at Abacus, I work with an awesome team that know so much about so many different topics. I have learned so much in my time here and I know there is so much more for me to learn.
Finally, what is the one thing people reading this should know about you?
I am a self proclaimed “cork dork” and have been collecting wine for as long as I have been able too. I now have a decent little collection and I keep adding to it as often as I can.
